And Now Brent Writes..............
The following is from Brent.
Well everyone as much as I wish I had good news to report from all of my scans, I don't. The spot on my liver is cancer, and it looks like I will be having surgery in the next few weeks or so.Now there is some good news to come out of it; First it is only the one tumor, it's location on my liver is perfect for surgery, and last of all at this time it doesn't look like I'll need chemo.
That's it for now.

VBS at SOH,ELCA in Mesa
We brought to a closed last Friday our second year in our own building another successful VBS (Vacation Bible School). Last year we had roughly 90 kids, this year the Lord blessed with over 120 Kids and enough volunteers to keep the show running smoothly. What impressed me the most was how are teens and the teens friends that don't go to our church stepped up and became wonderful Crew Leaders for our children. It wasn't long ago they experience VBS with SOH in a building that wasn't up to par but was all our Pastor could afford to rent out for the week and was happy that a handful of kids showed up.
Eight year pass by (ever so quickly)now those children return the favor as Crew Leader, Actors in the Drama Room and Food servers at dinner time. What I loved to see nightly was how the crew leaders and Head Adult volunteers would gather in the Narthex to pray before we would start the night. By Friday we were all tiered and couldn't wait to sleep in on Sat. But at the same time we were sad to see it end and that we would have to wait another whole year to do it all again.
Lord , I pray to you that these children that we have been able to witness to for a week will find their way back to SOH in the fall for Sunday school so we can be bursting out the seams with smiling faces that want to learn more about You and What Your Son has done for us.
Until Then,
K.U.

Look At Me I Turned Three!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Play with Ms. Rachel
Singing Happy Birthday to Jesse before the wind blows out the candle before he does.
Taking the number 3 out so he can eat the cake!
Today my youngest baby Boy turned three today. I can't believe it's been three years already. I try to remember my others at this age and a few memories creep back into my mind. I wish I had their photos on disk so I could print them up and compare them.
He is such a talker and asked the greatest questions. "Why are you wearing socks?", "Why does he wear his hair that way?", "Why is this blue and not red?", "Why do you have to go to the store?" He plays well with his siblings. Though he needs to do a car alarm screech with his sister when she doesn't stop doing what ever to bug him at that time .
His favorite color right now is Orange. It's cute when he says, "It's orange, my favorite color!"

I can't wait until he can go to school for he is so eagar to learn but won't mommy play school with him. I am so happy he came into our family. He has been a true blessing to us all.
Happy Birthday, Jesse!
Love,
Moma

Last Day........No More Books, No More Teachers Dirty Looks....
School is out for the summer as of 3:15 p.m. yesterday.
I now have a Third Grader and a sixth Grader.
It was a good year yet rocky along the way with my eldest. But now he is out of his old school and starting a new season at a new school which I feel will serve him well for the next 7 years of his educationally life.
